Hot summer

Painted during a record heatwave, these four defiant water lilies—their petals splayed like flames—became symbols of resilience. Oils mimic the pond’s evaporating languor, while hyper-saturated hues amplify nature’s surreal beauty.

I used wet and dry techniques so it took a long time to dry up and I added multiple layers which is the reason I took a long time to finish painting. When I paint something I am just totally into I believe that focus makes my painting more real and dramatic.

Quote

“It took me time to understand my water lilies. I had planted them for the pleasure of it; I grew them without ever thinking of painting them.”

Claude Monet

If you really love nature you will see beauty is everywhere.
